Tsutaya Bookstore (GINZA SIX 6F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will present the group exhibition “Piece of the Times” from Saturday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 14. The show spotlights five contemporary artists who are gaining increasing recognition on the Japanese and international art scene.

Overview
Though each artist has a different career trajectory and field of activity, all five are drawing strong attention with their recent work. They are also well known in commercial contexts, making their creative output familiar in our daily lives and urban landscapes. The exhibition gathers diverse expressions—from works that directly convey the spirit of our times to abstract paintings focusing on human psychology.

For this exhibition, Ryo Koizumi will unveil new large-scale works. Erika Naka will showcase and sell multiple sculptural editions created exclusively for the show. Hiroki Niimi, a rising star who also directs art for music and fashion, will present his latest pieces. Masato Yamaguchi, fresh from highly acclaimed solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and Taiwan, will return to Japan with three new large-scale works and his first-ever sculpture. YISLOW, the sole Korean artist in the show, will present works in three categories: first, 10-size paintings incorporating text; second, one of his signature pieces, Friends Friends; and third, Interval, a live-painting performance created on-site. This last work will reflect the impressions YISLOW experiences in the space during the performance.



銀座 蔦屋書店（東京都中央区GINZA SIX 6F）は、国内外のアートシーンで注目度を高めている現代アーティスト5名にスポットを当てたグループ展「時代の一片/ Piece of the times」を、12月3日(土)から12月14日(水)の期間開催いたします。

* 概要
活動歴、活動の場もそれぞれでありながら、その勢いにいま目が離せない5名の現代アーティストたちの近作群をご紹介します。コマーシャルのシーンでも人気が高く、街や日々の生活でクリエイティブを目にする機会もある作家たち。時代の空気が直に感じられる作品、人間の心理にフォーカスした抽象画など、表現はさまざまな形ながら「いま」を切り取った作品を集めました。

本展において、小泉 遼は新たに大型作品を出品。仲 衿香は本展のためだけに制作したマルチプル立体作品の展示・販売を予定しています。にいみ ひろきは音楽やファッションのアートディレクションもマルチに手掛ける期待の新鋭。山口 真人は香港・台湾で開催した個展が大好評のうちに終了、今回の日本での凱旋展示では大型の新作3点と初の彫刻作品を発表いたします。YISLOW （イスロ）は今回唯一の韓国人アーティスト。出品作は３分類を予定しており、ひとつめは画面の中にテキストが含まれた10号の作品。そして２つめは代表作のひとつ「Friends Friends」。3つ目の作品「間隔」においては、会場内でのライブペインティングで完成するパフォーマンスを計画しており、現場でYISLOWが感じた内容も作品に盛り込まれる予定です。
